APA JADI DI KELANTAN ?

Kelantan Kita wants Zaid Ibrahim to step down as party chief

By JOSEPH KAOS Jr

KOTA BARU: The Kelantan Kita chapter is the latest to call for the stepping down of Datuk Zaid Ibrahim as party president.
Its de facto state chief Zakaria Salleh said the state chapter, which has about 4,000 members, had lost confidence in Zaid's leadership and accused him of using the party to pursue his own interests.
Zakaria, who was party president when it was known as Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia (Akim), also said he was "devastated" Akim had turned out the way it had after Zaid took over.
"We still want Parti Kita to continue our struggles and we reject Zaid's proposal to dissolve the party. He should step down as president," said Zakaria at a press conference here Monday.
"He (Zaid) had been treating this party as if it is his law firm. All he wants to do is pursue his own interests and has never consulted us on any party decision."
