5 PEMIMPIN PARTI KITA :JOHOR,SABAH,SELANGOR,KEDAH,DAN PULAU PINANG AKAN MEMBERTAHANKAN PARTI KITA DARI DI BUBAR,

PUTRAJAYA: Kita state chiefs have demanded that their leader, Zaid Ibrahim, leave the party immediately.
Kita Kedah chief Zamil Ibrahim felt that Zaid’s sudden call to dissolve the party stripped the latter of any right to carry on as the party president.
“This is not a law firm or a private company that he (Zaid) can do anything with… It would be better for him to resign (as party president) and get out of Kita,” Zamil told reporters at the Putrajaya Lake Club.
Present with him were Kita’s Johor and Selangor chairmen Mohd Zaid Mohd Yusof and Azmi Othman respectively.
Penang state chief and Nibong Tebal MP Tan Tee Beng was not present as he was overseas.
Zamil, however, said that he was also representing Tan.
“There are other leaders who can lead the party’s agenda, and not his (Zaid) personal agenda.”
“I feel so disappointed to have a leader who has no principles, like Zaid.
“I hope that if he has no interest, or has failed to bring this party forward, I, along with my partners, will take on the responsibility (of heading Kita) even though we’re not as rich as Zaid.
“It is such a big mistake to have chosen a leader who has no principles.”
Kita won’t collapse
Yesterday, Zaid said that Kita would be “dissolved soon”, a move that caught Kita’s leadership by surprise.
He claimed that he failed to turn Kita into a moderate and progressive party after one year of helming it.
In a press statement, the former PKR and Umno leader said that it was necessary to put an end to all doubt of Kita’s support for Pakatan Rakyat.
This claim did not sit well with Zamil, who said that Kita had been busy preparing for the upcoming general election.
“In Kedah, I have announced that we would be contesting in 18 seats. What is going to happen to my 18 candidates who are preparing?
“What about their faces which have been put on Hari Raya banners (in Kedah)? They have dignity, too!” he said angrily.
Zamil also said that the party would not collapse without Zaid’s funding, adding that Kita’s operations in Kedah were largely self-reliant.
Zaid, as far as he was concerned, could go back to Pakatan Rakyat.
“Go back to to DAP or PKR if Pakatan wants to take back Zaid,” he said.
In fact, Zamil claimed that “a lot of people” would join Kita if Zaid left it.
Zaid had left Pakatan and his former party, PKR, after an internal party election dispute in 2010.
He would later go on to take over Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia (Akim) before turning it into Kita.
